Hike to Thrive: Turning Skills into a Lifestyle

What if hiking wasn’t just something you do — but who you become?


You’re ready for more than just getting outdoors. You've already put in the work to get your fitness level past beginner and you're ready for more intermediate - longer and more challenging trails in the local area!

Hike to Thrive is a 90-day journey that helps you do exactly that.


Through hiking, mentorship, and connection, you will:

  • Build the confidence and skills to explore more adventurous trails through skill development and local group hiking opportunities
  • Increase your fitness and stamina to take on longer hikes
  • Learn navigation tools and preparation practices so you feel safe and capable
  • Deepen your connection to nature through mindfulness and presence
  • Strengthen your mindset and step into empowered self-leadership
  • Connect with a supportive circle of local women on the same path
  • Vision, reflect, and hike forward with clarity and intention

Hike to Thrive is a mix of online & in-person bringing together women in SE Queensland+Northern NSW

This is for you if:

  • You've completed the beginners program Hike-Ready: A Path to Fitness & Fun, OR 
  • You have beginner-level hiking experience (have previous experience walking a minimum-  5km, grade 3 trail for at least 2hrs)
  • You want to step into a more empowered, connected version of yourself through hiking
  • You are ready to take more ownership and response-ability for your personal and physical growth
  • You feel the call to explore longer, more adventurous, or more varied trails, with the confidence and skills to back it up
  • You’re not just looking for a hike — you’re building a lifestyle that supports your strength, energy, and self-leadership
  • You want to age actively, feeling strong, mobile, and capable in your body as you move through this next phase of life
  • You want to move from “I can hike” to “hiking is part of my life”

Hike to Thrive is designed to help you build hiking into your life in a way that feels nourishing, not overwhelming. It’s a rhythm — a practice — that brings joy, movement, and calm into your everyday routine.

This isn’t just a hiking membership — it’s an invitation to honour your body, trust your path, and walk forward with strength and soul.

Program Inclusions:

  • Trail education: Basic navigation skills, map reading, understanding place (flora, fauna, geography), and water sourcing.


  • Mindfulness & nature observation: Learn to be present and deepen your connection to the land and yourself.


  • Growth mindset: become a leader through learning how to master your mind transforming fear into excitement and building your emotional intelligence.


  • Hiking lifestyle: Accountability, habit building, and mindset tools to integrate hiking into your daily life.


  • Personal visioning & reflection: Begin with a guided evaluation to assess your goals, values, and intentions for the program. Return to this evaluation at the end of the program to review your journey.


  • Fortnightly group mentoring sessions (online): Stay on track, work through challenges, and be inspired. Fortnightly on Wednesday nights commencing June 18.


  • Community chat (facilitator-led): Accountability, sharing, and support — plus journaling prompts for self-mastery every second week.


  • Online learning platform: Access the Hike-Ready: A Path to Fitness & Fun beginners program PLUS Intermediate level content


  • Trail logbook: Reflect and record your hikes, growth, and insights. 


  • 3 x optional in-person hikes: The hikes will progress to align with the growth of the group with the first being - 12km, 4hrs, Grade 4 (see details for the first hike below!).  Tea and snacks included. Locations: Gold Coast Hinterland & Tweed and Byron Hinterland (hikes will be 1-2hrs driving each way). Dates: Sat June 28, Sat Aug 2, Sat Aug 23


  • 3 x optional in-person 1/2 day hiking education workshops: Learn basic navigation and map reading in a fun supportive environment, put into practice other skills learnt in the beginners program like water sourcing and filtration, connecting with place and nervous system regulation. Workshops will be held monthly on Sunday afternoons following Hike-Fit. Dates: Sun June 22, Sun Jul 27, Sun Aug 17


  • Final trip planning activity: Identity your big adventure and plan it from scratch to completion using the tools and resources learnt in the membership. Invite a friend, family member or one of your Hike to Thrive peers!

Journey into the Rainforest for a day of fun and adventure! Your first group hike is on Saturday June 28 in the Gold Coast Hinterland

    'Connecting with nature was a way to return back to myself while experiencing anxiety'

    Lotus is a nature connection mentor and professionally trained adventure and hiking instructor who offers women's hiking and adventure experiences and programs.


    Lotus had done everything but still hadn’t found what she was looking for! A self-proclaimed party girl who ended up trapped in the anxiety cycle, temporarily escaping and numbing emotions with self-medicating, fleeing through worldly travels and only to have it all catch up with her in an inescapable confrontation. Lotus had lost herself and found herself by getting lost in the wonders of nature. She discovered a therapeutic way to bathe in nature and to return to her true powerful essence without sitting restlessly on a meditation cushion or retelling stories of childhood trauma. Then in the depth of nature she broke through. 


    Since, Lotus has gone on to study Nature-Based Therapy, an emerging complimentary therapy with evidence supporting its benefits. As an ex-nomad who’s hiked all over the world - from Patagonia to Nepal to Alaska, mother nature has always been a powerful force guiding her every step of the way. Post wanderlust days, Lotus dove deep into discovering her purpose which led her to studies in Outdoor Leadership, Wilderness First Aid, Nature-Based Therapy and Deep Ecology. Now, Lotus uses life experiences, her qualities and gifts to mentor women to discover and embody their true powerful essence through nature, adventure and connection.
